Advantages of Klear Gard | 25™
Low VOC’s / No off gassing
Until now, difficult to treat Western US species required an oil borne wood preservative to penetrate the wood fiber to achieve building code standards. With the advent of Klear Gard | 25™, difficult to treat species can now be specified for use in residential construction.
No coloration to the wood product
Klear Gard | 25™ utilizes carbon based preservative components and contains no metals.
Water emulsion formula allows all forms of paints and stains
Low up take of water, and rapid dry out time, Klear Gard | 25™ can be finished like untreated wood.
Does not corrode fasteners - Klear Gard | 25™ contains corrosion inhibitors. As always, standard industry practice requires fasteners to be protected from the elements.
Treat Engineered Wood Products (EWP)
Manufacturers of EWP do not recommend their products to be treated with current water borne preservative systems due to the excessive swelling from the large amounts of water forced into the fiber. Klear Gard | 25™ solves this issue through is use of Tru-Core Technology to transfer wood protection components into the wood fiber, without excessive water uptake.
Minimal Drying
Minimal Drying time get to job site quicker. Klear Gard | 25™ does not use water as a carrier resulting in wood products rapidly drying after the treatment process has completed. This reduces the time at the treating facility, and reduces shipping weights substantially.
